A Literary Conversation with Suni Paz

Thursday, Nov. 16th, 6:30-7:30PM at the Bridgeton Free Public Library.

Suni Paz, winner of the 2017 International Latino Book Awards in autobiography for her Spanish language book Destellos (second edition), will be present for an informal presentation and conversation at Bridgeton Public Library on Thursday 16, at 6:30pm. Suni was born into the world of cosmopolitan Buenos Aires, Argentina and raised in a family of immigrants from Italy and Catalonia. The book consists of heartfelt stories drawn from a distinctive childhood immersed in a world of creative intellectuals and artists. The talk will be bi-lingual, moving between English and Spanish, in response to the audience.

Suni’s presence in Bridgeton is made possible through the generous sponsorship of the New Jersey State Council on the Arts/Dept. of State, & the Cumberland County Board of Chosen Freeholders through the Cumberland County Cultural & Heritage Commission. The Commission is sponsoring Por Los Frutos de Tus Manos, a bi-lingual concert and harvest festival on Saturday to be held at 4PM at 40 East Commerce Street (Families to College Campus Center/Ashley McCormick Building in Bridgeton.

Suni Paz, ganadora del International Latino Book Awards a la mejor autobiografía por su libro Destellos, (2a. edición), se presentará en la Biblioteca Pública de Bridgeton este Jueves 16 por la tarde. Suni nació  en Buenos Aires, Argentina y creció en una familia de inmigrantes llegados de Italia y Catalonia. Su libro consiste en una serie de sentidas pequeñas historias sobre su infancia, creciendo en un ambiente de intelectuales y creativos artistas. Su charla será Bilingue -en Inglés y Español- según lo requiera la audiencia.

 

Suni llegó a Bridgeton para dar un concierto titulado Por los Frutos de Tus Manos, un homenaje bilingue, con canciones y pequeños bailes, a los campesinos y sus queridas familias el Sábado 18 a las 4 pm en el edificio Ashley McCormick, 40 East Commerce St., Bridgeton.
