Teens
The library serves teens, ages 12-18, with books, reference assistance, DVDs, magazines, and manga, as well as, fun programs every Tuesday.
Programs
The Bridgeton Library hosts a teen program almost every Wednesday evening. Teen Wednesday is held from 6-8 pm and features activities for teens, ages 12-18. Some of our past events have included Anime Night, Movie & Pizza Night, Lock-Ins, and more. Please check our calendar for more detailed information.
Teen Library Council
The Bridgeton Library TLC, or Teen Library Council, is open to teens 12 to 18 who are interested in making a difference at the Library. The goal of the TLC is to promote library services to teens and the community, plan programs at the library, help purchase books for the Teen Section and have a good time doing it!
Since its start in April of 2005, the TLC has helped plan several programs for teens, such as Lock-Ins, movie nights, book discussions, and even some programs for young children. TLC members also help volunteer at local community events and for the library. They recently finished filming a promotional video for the library!
Being a TLC member is not all work! TLC members enjoy an annual trip to Kotoricon, an anime convention at Gloucester County College, as well as a river tubing trip each summer. They get to attend fun workshops that feature poetry, painting, and even LARPing.
Teens 12-18 who are interested in joining the TLC can call the library at (856) 451-2620, or just come to a meeting. Meetings are generally held the first Wednesday of the month. Please check our calendar for dates and times. New members are welcome!
The Bridgeton Library needs its TLC!
